Age<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Op de plek van de voorstelling is een vuilnisbelt te zien; een apocalyptische wereld. Het is een fantasiewereld bezaaid met plastic afval dat is verzameld uit alle mogelijke plekken. In deze surrealistische wereld bespelen percussionisten een scala aan eigenhandig gemaakte instrumenten uit plastic afval.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-builder-row fusion-builder-row-inner Geologen noemen dit ook wel het 'Plasticene', een geologische periode waarin we plastic als 'grondstof' terugvinden in de bodem. De Rogier De Nijs Group nodigt je uit om mee te gaan op een reis door het Plastic Tijdperk. De reis gaat langs verschillende plekken op aarde waar grote effecten van onze consumptiemaatschappij te zien zijn. Door het gebruik van videoprojecties ontstaat er een 3D-totaalbeeld op het podium. Soundtrack of the Plastic Age is een trip vol opzwepende slagwerkcomposities en klanklandschappen.<\/p>\n<h3>De muziek<\/h3>\n<p>De instrumentale composities zijn verhalend en spreken tot de verbeelding. De titels geven de expressie van de composities weer: 'Lost in Excess', 'Plastic Eruption', 'Quest for Perspective', 'Solemn Walk'. Stuk voor stuk verschillende perspectieven in het Plasticeen. De muziek is dynamisch en wordt uitgevoerd op uiteenlopende percussie-instrumenten en bewerkte samples hiervan.
